Problem with Erectile Dysfunction! Help!

My boyfriend and i just started having sex. We had been giving eachother oral sex for quite sometime and sometimes he would become limp. he always said that he was in the mood and he didn't know why it happened, that it was nothing i had done. i figured that the problem would stop when we had sex because it was the "real thing" but the first time we tried to got limp. he really doesn't know why it happened and neither do i. Sometimes he will get limp when i try and give him oral sex, and then when i try again he will be fine. I am just so confused about the problem. it's been going on for aobut 6 months now. He says that it has nothing to do with his emotions, and that he can't control his limpness. We love eachother and we have a good chemistry normally. he's only 18. i don't want him to go on any medicaiton or anything!! is there anything we can do? do you know why this keeps happening?

Hi kld34, welcome!
From what I’ve read even young guys can have occasion trouble sustaining an erection and performance anxiety could be a reason. Or, it might be the stress of school, home life, his job or him worrying about money. Or perhaps the side effect of a medical condition or a medication he's taking. Recreational drugs and alcohol can also have a detrimental effect on male sexual performance so if he is a consumer that might be a possibility.
If the problem seems to be getting worse or is chronic it would be a good idea to have him see his doctor for a complete physical. Or, since still has the desire but can’t hold an erection an Urologist might be the specialist to see. Some good articles s on sexual problems are: Sexual Problems – Overview: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001951.htm
Inhibited sexual desire: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001952.htm

Thanks for posting. If you have more questions please ask. Let us know what his doctor says and how you and he are doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
