Hi sass2006, welcome!

Were you dryer than usual so that you might have chaffed or perhaps you were scratched by a nail if you were fingered? After washing your hands, can you feel the area that's sore? Can you feel a raw spot, tear or a small growth in the area that may have become irritated? If you were dry then next time you could use a good intimate lube, I like Astroglide best, and don't be afraid to use plenty of it. If the discomfort doesn't go away in a day or two or if you haven't had your annual pelvic you might want to talk to your doctor and see what s/he says.

Thanks for stopping by to post. You'll ask if you have more questions, right? I hope you're feeling better soon. Please keep in touch and let us know how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,

      Jill

thanks so much for the quick response! we don't use lubrication and sometimes when we begin to have sex again after I have been well lubricated, it is forced and definitely could be the reason why I am feeling not good. the pain is at the very opening and hurts almost like a pinch after i touch it. i was also bleeding a little bit this morning when we woke up, i am unsure if that was from the sex or break through bleeding because of birth control. i'm assuming that it was from the sex considering that it hurts even now. also, the condoms kept breaking, could they do any damage to me when they break? like scratching? we removed it right away..finally, we just did without them...it was an eventful night to say the least! thanks again, i am hoping this pain goes away within the next few days.

Vaginal tissue can be very easily damaged and if you are dry the latex can easily chaff you and the friction can tear the condom too. It would be a very good idea for you to use a good water base lube like Astroglide and you should be much more comfortable. Remember not to use an oil based lube because oil will cause latex condoms to deteriorate very rapidly. If you are still uncomfortable you might try using a pure aloe vera gel on the tender area. I find aloe vera very soothing when I need it or you could ask your pharmacies what s/he suggests.

Keep in touch and let us know how you’re doing, ok?

Take care,
