Worth seeing a doctor?

Last month, I missed a period, which is very odd for me, as I've been extremely regular for the past 10 years, at least. The only other times I missed periods were the 3 months I was on Depo-provera.

I have been sexually active but I'm on birth control pills and using condoms (successfully) and the pregnancy test came back negative.

I want to know if I should see a doctor or if I should wait to see if I skip my next period. I don't want to have to go there, wait for hours, only to be told that it's probably due to stress.

Hi arraicha, welcome!

It's not unusual for some women on BCPs to skip an occasional period. If you are using condoms in addition to your pills I think there is very little chance that you are pg. If I were you I'd wait and see if Aunt Flo arrives at the end of this next pack. If she's a no-show again then I'd see my doctor to find out what's going on. But, you might want to let your doctor know what's going on just to keep him or her in the loop.

Thanks for posting. If you have more questions, please ask. Let us know what you decide and how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,
