Okay, so a long time ago my boyfriend was on antibiotics for a throat infection, and about three days later he broke out with red bumps on his penis. He went to the doctor and the doc said he had a yeast infection: apparently can be common in men who are not circumsized. So the doc gave him some cream and advised him on properly cleaning himself following sex.
So we stopped having sex until the yeast was all cleared up, and then we went backto using condoms again for a while, just to be sure. Then one night we decided to go without a condom since the yeast infection was definetly cleared up. The second we finished having intercourse the red bumps began to appear again. We have gone through this cycle many times. Even one time when we used a condom and he removed the condom the yeast infection was there, meaning it couldnt have come from me. I have taken meds along with him to ensure that we tackle the problem from both sides, however nothing that we seem to do gets rid of this problem!
Every single time we have sexhe gets a yeast infection, not me, just him.
Please help! We are wanting to try to have a child soon but it seems that everytime we try to have unprotected sex we end up with him haivng an infection.

Hi ptbogrl89, welcome!

Jill,
Thank you for replying to my message. We do not use any type of spermicide or warming lube or anything else that could be giving him a reaction. And I dont think we can narrow it down to the condoms since we have always used the same ones and it does not always happen when we use a condom, in fact it is mostly when we go without. Even if we go without a condom for one minute and then cover up he still tends to break out once we have finished. This is why I am confused as we have tried to narrow it down. And the doctor was very adament that it was a yeast infection, and actually made it seem like it was coming from me. The doc stated that even without me being infected I can pass yeast on to my partner causing him to be infected, hoever I have never had this roblem with any other partners. So here I am confused.
It's not too common but it is possible to pass yeast from one partner to another so perhaps that is what is happening. I've never heard of yeast causing such a sudden reaction, but I’m not a doctor. Since he is reacting immediately to direct contact with you I think it would be a good idea for you to see your doctor explain the problem and have some tests to see what's going on.
