Painful sex?

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but I would like some advice or reassurance that I'm normal...

Before I met my husband I was a virgin. The furthest I had gone was some fingering and that REALLY hurt me. So we have been married since January and it's just really painful for me to have sex. I feel really bad having to stop him in the middle but there's just so much I can take. A lot of times it feels as if I have to pee and that's what ruins the mood. I'm also on the Nuvaring. Could that play a part in it? I haven't really noticed a difference when we use lube and when we didn't (although I haven't really thought about not being lubed enough as a connection). Ummm... I've also had pretty much constant UTIs since we got married too which is another story. People tried to tell me that it's the honeymoon disease but he's in the military and I get them when he isn't even around. I'm going to see a Urology specialist around the end of September so hopefully that will answer some questions. Would this sexual problem be something to discuss with this specialist? I am ashamed to say that I haven't seen an OBGYN in over a year due to me changing insurances and trying to find out the steps I need to follow to find another one.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I pee before, right after. I make sure both of us are clean before and after... I stopped drinking alcoholic beverages, sodas, caffeine. I switched soaps... I drink a lot of water due to being a runner and take cranberry capsules. Coming right off medications for a UTI, I still have blood and protein in my urine.
