Fist of all, I want to thank you for having this forum available. I have found it Very helpful in the past. This is actually my second time posting.
I have been with my boyfriend for quite some time (4 months) now and we both really like sex. To give you an idea, we went through a box of 36 condoms (they are the lubed variety) in less than a week. I am on the Pill as well (I was on the pill prior to starting to date him). I think that we might have over done it though, because I am experiencing some pain. Perhaps I wasn't wet enough, but usually it's not a problem because I'm generally overproductive.
Starting this week though, I have been feeling pain when attempting to use the restroom (mostly when attempting to urinate). When we last had sex Sunday morning, there were signs of blood on the sheets and I started to experience pain when he would penetrate me, which would go away after a very short time. I think I might be swollen now though & I'm not enjoying the discomfort. I have also been experiencing a liquid like discharge & frequent need to urinate.
My boyfriend is out of town this week, so I have some recovery time, but I don't want this to be a reoccurring experience. Besides seeing my obgyn (appt is in two weeks - soonest I can get in between work & scheduled events I can't move) what are your thoughts. UTI? Yeast Infection? Friction issues?
I'll await your post reply.
Thank you,
C

Hi firsttimeuser, welcome back!
Jill
Kudos to you for going through 36 condoms in a week lol =). It sounds like a UTI to me since you were sore & having frequent urination. Yet on the other hand, if your sore & saw blood on the sheets it could also be from you maybe not being wet enough after the first few times to have another round b/c i know that when your not well lubricated it could be rather uncomfortable since your dry. If you do become dry just use some extra lube or even if you are wet you can use some lube. From being dry it could cause bleeding & soreness as well as discomfort when urinating. Best bet is to go to the ob/gyn to let them take a look to see what's goin on. Im my opinion it could either be a UTI or just soreness from being dry. HTH
