Hey Jill,
I just wanted to update, and I have a couple of quick questions for you. I am pretty sure that what I had was a yeast infection, probably caused by the antibiotics that I was on for the UTI.
* The doctor that I spoke with over the phone (long story, but bottom line is that it would have been VERY difficult for me to get in to see an OB/GYN right now) told me to purchase the Monistat 1 day cream treatment. I bought that, used it according to the instructions, and the infection seemed to completely clear up in a few days (3 - 4 for symptoms to completely dissipate, but it only took one day for things to simply improve). However, when I was at the drug store, I noticed that there were treatments for 3 and 7 days as well, some with the egg shaped suppositories. How do you know when to use a one day treatment as opposed to one of the 3 or 7 day treatments for a yeast infection? (Just curious for own personal knowledge/future reference.)
* Now that things have cleared up, is it ok for me to start having sex with my boyfriend again, or should I wait a little while to make sure that my system is entirely back on track? I didn't want to do anything with him because of my own discomfort. I have definitely been taking my Pill correctly at about 7:00 am every day, and have not forgotten to take any.
Thanks for any advice!
