Heavy Amount of Bleeding

Hello,
My apologies for this being too long.
I'm 17 years old and I have had sex before.
About three weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were fooling around (ex. fingering) and I didn't notice it at the time, but blood was everywhere. I would say a liter or so. I'm talking a lot. Although, despite the amount, it didn't make me nauseas or light-headed.
Although, I was so scared, my clothes were soaked in blood. It has never happened before. I felt some pain during, but not enough to think that would happen.
A couple days after, I was bleeding a little still and my pelvic area was very sore. Then after a week, I was as good as new. So I thought he had just torn something and that it had healed.
Now three weeks later, we fooled around again and had sex. This time, it was only a little blood but the pain is about the same in my pelvic area. Also, I would like to add, that the blood isn't thick or dark - it's more of a light, pink color. If that makes any difference.
I don't know what it could be.
A girlfriend of mine told me it's probably a bad tear and that I shouldn't be doing anything for a long time. I agreed with her. I checked the STD symptoms and none of them match up. Plus, it's not constant, only these two times - never before with anyone else.
I'm scared to go to the doctors.
I know I have to but I would like to hear some opinions before to prepare myself for what might be wrong. Any advice or knowledge you can give me would be appreciated!
Thank-You,
Brittany.

Hi Brittany, welcome!
Jill
Well I strongly suggest that you seek a physician because it sounds serious,
and I'm telling you because I am a Nurse. It sounds like you may have an STD or
HPV which is nothing to really be afraid of. Most STD'S can be cured and as for
HPV that a type of Uterine Cancer. There are vaccines that you can recieve to
prevent it if you don't have it already mean while I would stop having sex
at this point and use condoms at all times. If your partner can not understand
that then baby you need to move on. Look out for your safety first. I am truly
blessed because I went through the same thing and was diagnosed with an STD
but, was very lucky to be alive. I t was killing me and went untreated for 1
year and I had no symptoms until the very last peek. and I knew then that
I was sick and had to be treated. It was very defistating to me to find out
I had something I never even heard of. So listen clostly never put all your
trust into a man you are still young and learning. I will teach you and answer
any questions you have for me. I'm only 24 and have been through the same thing
tha nearly cost my life because of sex and condoms breaking. Please young Lady
do me a favor and get tested every 6 months to a year and wrap it up at all times
thank you ,
consider this as a friend helping a friend
Thank-you for your adivce.
It helped me out alot amd gave me new ideas.
I can only go in to see my doctor a week from now. That's the only time that she's available. Oh well, that gives me time to prepare.
Just one last question, since I'm only 17, can my doctor legally tell my parents, if anything happens to be seriously wrong? Or if i told her not to, can see keep it confidental?
I will surely let you know my updates and how I'm doing!
Thanks again!
Brittany.
