Dryness after orgasm?????

I'm at a loss here and I don't know what to do. This started a couple months ago and has been pretty consistent. When my husband and I begin sex, I respond well and there is no issue with me being dry. HOWEVER, once I have an orgasm I get dry immediately after to the point where sex becomes painful. We have lube, but my husband doesn't really like to use it. Last night it happened and he got some lube but didn't use enough. I asked him to use a bit more and he just said oh nevermind and quit and went to sleep. Needless to say I was very upset and ended up crying half the night. I don't understand why this is happening. I mentioned it to my doctor earlier this summer and she totally ignored it and never addressed it. I'm getting to the point where I'm reluctant to even have an orgasm because I know what will happen. Please help!

I cannot think of any changes that may have occurred when it started. I wasn't on any kind of birth control or hormones. The only thing that can come to mind is maybe it's age related. I'm only 35, but I know that our bodies start with some drastic changes (they arent fun LOL). This is just incredibly frustrating and making me not even want to have an orgasm because of what happens afterwards. I hate end up feeling that way because I feel fortunate that I am able to have one.
