I was supposed to do IVF in February but got very sick with gastroenteritis on day one of stims and the doctor told us to postpone until the next cycle in April. I am starting stims tonight and am supposed to inject both follistim and low dose hcg. As I was going through my meds (which I received in January for the February cycle) I realized that I do not have the low dose hcg because it expired. My doctor's office did call in a new prescription in March, but for some reason I thought it was for the HCG trigger shot, so when then pharmacy called me, I told them I didn't need it right away so they are mailing it out on Thursday. DUH!
I immediately called my drs office this afternoon, but no one was answering. I drove to their office and they mixed some low dose up using a HCG trigger shot vial. They told me to bring in the HCG I get from the pharmacy to replace what they gave me.
So you are thinking, what is the problem, right? Well, I am paranoid it was not mixed correctly or there isn't enough to get me through. I don't know how many days I have to take the LD HCG. I know I have to take it until Thursday, but there doesn't seem to be enough in the vial. I am starting to feel this isn't meant to be because there is always something getting in the way.
