Shady Grove Shared Risk?

Hi ladies,

I'm new here but am hoping someone could offer some insight. I am considering the SG shared risk plan but my dh has severe male factor. Really, super low - too low to do a scsa. I am wondering if we would be accepted into plan or rejected because of this. We don't want to use ds. I am 30 and no problems.

Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks so much for any help and best wishes to everyone.

Hi,
I personally don't have any experience with Shady Grove, but I know some of the ladies over on the infertility board do. I would post over there as well.

Good Luck!

Hi Laura,

Thanks so much for your reply. I am sorry about the previous cycles but so glad you have more attempts remaining. Your post is encouraging. I am supposed to speak to Dr.Chang in early June but was wondering if it was worth filling out all the paperwork just to be rejected b/c count so low - my dh's last analysis was so abysmal showing only 14 in the field of view with only 4 motile! According to the urologist he has no blockage and believes it was caused by some mysterious illness w/very high fever when he was a child.

I'm afraid they will insist on using donor sperm and dh will NOT do that so I LOVE the shared risk plan but am thinking I wouldn't be accepted b/c of dh. How low is your dh's count? is it over a million? Thanks so much and best wishes on your next cycle!

What paperwork do you have to fill out?
