Hi ladies!

I am going nuts right now.  I had my ET this past Thursday and have had a few early pregnancy symptoms.  I was just at the pharmacy and walked past the prego tests about 10 times.  It was hard not to buy one.  When do the embryo's implant?  When is it okay to buy a home pregnancy test?  I know my clinic says not too but I can't take waiting another 1.5 weeks.  I will literally have NO finger nails left and will buy my dear sweet hubby to death in that time.  LOL

So, What have you done?

Tuesdae

Me = 32 and tubal problems {now NO tubes} and DH = 37 and perfectly fine...he has super sperm...LOL

2/2006 ~ 1st IVF cycle w/ BFP!!!

10/19/2006 ~ my DS arrived...one of the best days of my life :D

7/2009 ~ started 2nd IVF cycle with Lupron.  CD 10 was rushed to the hospital with an ectopic pregnancy...emergency surgery preformed.  Talk about a shocker...being told you are pregnant when you haven't even gotten to the "REAL" fertility meds.

10/2009 ~ changed fertility clinics due to 'that' clinic not doing a pregnancy test on me...yes the ecoptic pregnancy could not of been prevented since it was a natural {my 1 partial tube left + DH super sperm}, however, there is an injection that could of "taken care of it" instead of major surgery.

11/2009 ~ started Lupron, however, several ovarian cysts were present and estragen levels were too high...cycle was cancelled :(

12/2009 ~ took a quick break for the holidays

1/7/2010 ~ Started Lupron day 1

1/15/2010 ~ US = 1 ovarian cyst and estragen alittle high...DR up'd my dosage of Lupron for 1 more week...please please please work this time!

1/16/2010 ~ cycle cancelled...estragen level too high

2/16/2010 ~ started Lupron

3/3/2010 ~ 3 ovarian cysts and thick uterine lining with a questionable spot...will be doing a DNC this week and will drain the cyst while they are in there...if all is well then I get to start my baby making meds!  YAY

3/10/2010 ~ had a hysteroscopy and currently waiting on test results from a biopsy...PLEASE be negative!

3/17/2010 ~ Nope...its positive :(  antibotics for 2 weeks then retest

5/22/2010 ~ Start Lupron...again

6/5/2010 ~ Start stim...and shocked!!!  YAY...finally!!!

6/14/2010 ~ ER...8 eggs retrieved

6/15/2010 ~ only 4 eggs fertilized

6/17/2010 ~ ET...2 beautiful 8 cell embryo's transferred...its in gods hands now.

Hi there. Without double checking this, i believe embryo's implant usually around 6 to 7 days after ER. Lots of people use HPT. Just know that some test aren't reliable and that a negative result doesn't necessarily mean a negative until your beta confirms it. You should wait till after 10 days past your trigger shot to take it or else you might get a false positive. Other then that, you can also get a positive and then it could end up being a chemical pregnancy. IMHO, clinics just think we are all stupid and that is why they don't want us to use HPT. Like it is a secret society and only they can tell us if it worked. All you have to do is be knowledgeable about the risks of the HPT possibly being wrong.

Good Luck!!

9 days is a long time. Good Luck on the wait. Yes, PIO can give you sore breast and cramps and all the signs that you might be PG. Doesn't make the 2ww any easier.

Do what you think is right for you and the heck with the "secret society".
