Hello Ladies,
Well here we are again - getting ready to start another IVF. I don't know if anyone remembers me - I had my IVF in Jan and although we got a BFP, it ended in miscarriage at week 10. It was pretty devestating, since we had gone in for u/s, even seen the heartbeat and had just been released to obgyn.
We are ready to start again, so pretty excited to be cycling. Anyone else cycling with me in August?
So now waiting for Day 1 of my period so I can call to schedule my mock transfer. Then BCP for 2 weeks so I should be doing injections by early August.
I've also been doing acupuncture since early June just to keep me relaxed. So far it's working, I feel pretty good about going into this and keeping my fingers crossed.
So who's cycling with me in August???.....lol. Good luck to us all, ladies, and I'm here to offer my support to you.

After four failed IUIs with Clomid, I should be cycling in August also.

I'm an old-timer IVF'er. I was on these boards in '06-'07 mainly. My screen name was hopeful4one. Anyone remember me? Well, I never did get knocked up. Did 4 IUI's and 1 IVF. The baby urge never left me though, so thought I would try one more time before I'm REALLY ancient. I am at a new RE now. My initial CD3 BW came back all good, except they said my E2 was elevated at ~60. But, I've read that norm ranges can go up to 80? Anyway, I guess the big factors and I mean very big factors are my age - 41. And, my antral follicle count was only 3 on the right side. :(
Has anyone here done IVF with a baseline of only 3 follies? What about elevated CD3 E2?
I'm doing the Clomid Challenge test again this cycle for new RE. And, go back on Fri for follie check.
So, not sure I'm going to be in a cycle or not in August, but I'm hopeful.

We may well have been on the board together in 2007. I am horrified to hear that you did not receive a bfp ever since that point. I am just so sorry. We did have a healthy son in 2007. I then did a frozen embryo transfer in 2009 and gave birth February 2010. Our baby did not come home born with Cytomegalo Virus a non genetic virus causing severe problems for our Lauren. She did not leave the hospital. I am hoping to try to conceive again with a frozen transfer. We are scheduled for a mid cycle ultrasound later this month, and I expect a frozen transfer in August.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I'm so sorry to hear about your baby and the CMV. I just recently was made aware of this horrible virus. That is awesome though that you have frozen embies to do a FET. Hope and pray your cycle in August is it! Maybe I will be lucky enough to join you in a cycle. But, the stats aren't looking so good for me. Well, have a nice, relaxing weekend.

Thanks Chris! My doctor gave me a large packet all about the IVF process but it didn't have any info on the mock transfer, so I wasn't sure about that, that's good to know!!
When are you expecting AF so you can get started?!
Thanks for the encouragement Chris. I sure hope my 3 little follies somehow turn in to 5 or 6 at my cyst check tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm CD9. :) Can more show up after a round of Clomid? Maybe they were too hidden before and the nurse missed them. Wishful thinking! My actual IVF cycle won't be until Aug/Sept though, if the doctor is willing to do it with few follies and high E2.
Sorry Chris about your m/c last cycle. I can't even imagine how difficult that would be. But, sounds like even though you're a poor responder, they seem viable!
Chris, do you mind if I ask you how often you do your acupuncture? Are you going to an IF acupuncture specialist? Do they also do the treatment right before the transfer?
