Starting IVF in Oct?

Hi Ladies,

Well, the time has come...I'm excited and scared, but ready to be a mom more than anything. I'm probably a little early, but wanted to see if there were any potential cycle buddies out there yet. We are getting ready for IVF #1, I will be starting birth control pills later in Sept., probably doing ER at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. In the meantime, I'm trying to lose a little weight, getting some exercise, and will hopefully be starting acupuncture soon. Here's hoping that IVF does the trick!

Danielle - thanks for checking in. I am waiting until Monday for the blood work. I don't have a single hpt in my house. I am so scared, I don't think I could bear the poas. I would rather not go in for the beta either -I am just happy in my pregnant until proven otherwise state. :)

I will be praying a lot this weekend, even though what is meant to be will be but maybe God will make a miracle.

How are you doing?

Hey Brigid,

just wondering how your ER went and have you gotten your fertility reports yet? Are you still on for the ET Sunday?? I am sure you have been resting but let us know how you are doing. Good luck!

Hey ladies :)

I am having my ER tomorrow morning. This is my second round of IVF after having 3 rounds of IUI. First round of IVF was in September and was unsuccessful. We only were able to harvest 3 eggs out of the 3 only 2 were mature enough to fertilize, both were healthy embryo's and were transferred back on day 2 but unfortunately nothing stuck. So here we are again 6 weeks later and trying again with a different approach. Apparently the Lupron was to surpressive for me and didn't give us anything left over for freezing. So here's to hoping for more success this time. I am feeling tired and exhausted from the last 2 years of treatments and only being 27. I am so ready to start enjoying life again like before all this fertility junk came along. Good luck everyone!!

Unfortunately, they were only able to retrieve 2 eggs, and only one of those fertilized, so that one will be transfered tomorrow ( sat). Our odds are poor, but we are trying, anyway. I had five mature follicles, but the others had immature eggs or no eggs. So we will see. I came from only one egg:-)

Brigid -I am sorry but I didn't realize my days were off. Well you know it only takes ONE! You have the right attitude. Just try to stay positive and relaxed. The transfer is much easier than the ER so Sunday should be a breeze. Think great implantation thoughts! :)

Well, just got home from the ER and I am not feeling so great... we only got 3 eggs (again) this time so I am feeling discouraged! I will find out tomorrow what we got to transfer and it is looking like I am having my transfer done Monday. Feel really sad about this because we wanted to have something to freeze if this didn't work. But looks like we will have nothing to put away for later. If this doesn't work we are going to look into a different clinic or something. I will keep

As I am sure you have heard before, it only takes one. I know it would be nice to have frozen ones but perhaps this is going to be THE cycle and you won't need them anyway??

I am sorry you are feeling bad. Take it easy, be kind to yourself and think positive. Keep us posted on your results.
