Prayers for my local community

It has been just a little over a year since the community mourned the murder on the job of a police officer in one of the suburban towns. Now another officer has been shot and killed in the city in which I was raised. http://www.uticaod.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070412/NEWS/70412012

How tragic! I have many friends who are police officers in the town where I live and I fear for their safety every day. They are true heroes. My prayers are with their families in this time of sorrow.

God bless!

Thank you. It is truly a tragedy. It looks as though the shooting was deliberate...not of the man, but of the uniform.

G-d bless him, his family and his girlfriend.

This is so very awful and very sad. We often take people for granted. These police officers and the firemen risk their lives every minute of the day for all of us.I see them as courageous human beings and they are our heroes.

My deepest condolences along with my thoughts and prayers go out to all these familes in their time of sorrow.

Beth,

I am truly sorry for the loss to your community, but mostly to the family that has lost a son, a husband, or a brother. These men and women that defend our cities are "HEROES" in every since of the word. My father was a highway patrol officer when I was very young ( five years old). Thank god he didn't die in the line of duty, but later on he did die of cancer. But now in our church there is a man and his wife you are both police officer's. But this man is a supervisor and has been with the department for twenty years. Some of the things he has told us he has seen, are so terrible, I could never be that strong. I will keep your loss in my prayers.
God Bless
~Deborah~
