Ok this is really weird...
When my mom was here for thanksgiving ( she passed on in december), she had given a ring to my then 16 yo DD. It was a very simple little thing that a friend had given her to give to someone special. It is 2 rings that are intertwined and there is no starting or stopping point in it. It was a litel big on DD so she was very careful when she wore it. Her and my mom were the closest, I named her after my mom and she was the first grandchild.
The day that we got the call that my mom had been found dead, I had sent the kids out to play while I was on the phone. My DD was crying because the ring had fallen off in the grass..both her brother and sister had seen it come off.. noone could find it. we searched the grass for days after wards. She was crushed because it was the last gift mom had given her.
My dd got up to go to school the other day and opened her jewlery box. there was her ring sitting on top of all her other jewlery. She had been in her jewlery box very often since december. But on this day, the ring was sitting there right on top of it. The same ring that was lost in the front yard.
Needless to say we were all dumbfounded! But my DD is now happy that she has her ring back and we know that our mom is still here with us.

Thank you for sharing your story... it's hearing stories like yours that help me remember that "hearing" from our loved ones is very possible... you just need to keep your ears/eyes/hearts wide open.

I'm so glad your mom found your daughters ring. I have a similar story. My mom gave me her charm bracelet for my birthday last year. I wore it everyday and religiously checked the charms to make sure they were all there. Right after she died the last charm she had bought me ( a star with a pink stone in the middle) was gone. I felt so bad that the last charm she gave me was gone. I prayed to st anthony (the patron saint of lost things) then about three days later I was making my bed I smoothed out the comforter and there was the charm in the middle of my bed, the same bed I had been sleeping in for 3 days. so yes they are here with us.

I love this!! My cup of tea indeed. I am pleased beyond words that your DD has been reunited with her beloved ring in whatever means it took to get there....*wink wink* I applaud to be open minded to the possibility how the ring found it's way back to her jewelry box. Our beloved family members that have passed have a wicked sense of humor now don't they??

Sweetie,

I am so very pleased that there was a happy ending to this story of the lost ring. What ever means it took to get there, I am happy that it was found. When my mom had passed away I removed her wedding band and reading your post just gave me the chills, thinking how I would feel if I had misplaced or lost her ring.

Thank you so much for sharing this story with us.
