Lighter period after major infection?

You may remember me, I posted about a month ago. I had been seeing military GYN's for a couple of years, they weren't helping, so I finally got a referal to an off-base GYN and she discovered that I had the worst yeast infection and case of bacterial vaginosis that she'd ever seen in anyone under age 50.
We'll I got on meds and it seems to be mostly cleared up. Last week I had my first period since the infection and it was very, very light whereas I usually have a quite heavy period. Do you think maybe it had to do with the meds? Maybe the infection had something to do with the heavy periods? Do you think I have anything to worry about? I'm not on birth control and I've had no other med changes. I'm certainly not going to complain if this becomes the norm LOL I'm just wondering if it sounded like anything to worry about.
Thanks, even just for reading through all that :)

It's hard to say what is causing your period to be light. It could be a number of things and it could be nothing. Can you call your new doctor and ask? That's probably your best bet.
In any case, I'm so glad to hear things are going better for you!

I actually see my gyn on the 9th, so I'll probably ask her then :)
