pain and no period

Hi everyone. I've been having some disturbing symptoms and can't seem to get a straight answer from my GYN. About two weeks ago I got a very sharp, burning pain in my lower right abdomen whenever I bent over in a certain way. It almost would knock me off my feet! Otherwise, my lower abdomen up to my belly button was and still is sore. I am 1 week late for my period and I am NEVER late. I took a blood pregnancy test and it came out negative. My general practitioner sent me for an ultrasound which apparently did not show a cyst but fluid in my pelvis. He thought I must have had a ruptured cyst. He referred me to my GYN. On internal exam, my GYN said he did not feel a cyst on my ovary but assumed there was a marble sized cyst because of the pain I was feeling...How do you assume this?!!! He also gave me a CA-125 which came out normal but is basically a useless, worthless test for screening to begin with. He then told me to "stop worrying" and that if I didn't get my period in another week, to call him and He'd give me a prescription that would start it. I am also slightly bleeding a pink color after intercourse.
Has anyone had any of these symptom? I don't know if I should be worried (I am!!!)since my paternal aunt passed away from ovarian cancer...by the way my GYN also knows this and doesn't seem to think its even worth discussing. Or if I should get myself another Gyn. I could really use some advice...Thanks

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I know how scary it is. The only advise I can give you is to see another doctor if you're uncomfortable with the one you have. It never hurts to get a second or third opinion! It's your body and sometimes we have to be persistent in getting the care we want!
Good luck to you!
