missed period

Ok, when I first started getting my periods years ago, they were pretty irregular, I mean irregular WAS regular where mine were concerned. Well, that was when I was 16. I am 25 now and over the years, they have become more regular to the point where I'm usually only 1 or 2 days off, if any. Now, it's almost the end of August and my last period was the beginning of June. I used to have such heavy flow that I could barely stand up from the awful cramping ( i also have IBS, which believe me, sounds a lot better as the abbreviation), so I'm wondering if since those were so bad before, maybe they have just been mitigated so much to the fact where I don't bleed as much and could have missed the fact I had one. I'm seeing a doctor about getting birth control to lessen the cramping soon but thought I'd go ahead and ask. I mean, other than pregnancy, could there be another reason for missing one or more?

Amenorrhea, absence of your period, is caused by many things. Only your doctor can tell you why. Here's a website I found with some info for you.

Make an appointment with your doctor!
Good luck,
