I started bleedind two weeks ago Thursday, and for the first 3-4 days I cramped horribly and passed several large clots (sorry to gross you out).I am on bc pills and was one week before I was supposed to start. So I bled all that week, and all last week (when I am supposed to) and I still am. The week of my period I usually stop Wed. or Thurs. and now it's Sat. and I don't know what to do. I have NEVER had any problems with these bc pills or unusual bleeding or bad cramping. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this? Or is there any way to stop this? I would greatly appreciate any advice!

Bleeding after a miscarriage lasts about 2 to 3 weeks.. You had PROBABLY, (I am not a doctor, I just have experience here, and from my own experience, I tell you what happen to me) Had a pregnancy, 3 to 4 weeks along, and once you miscarry your system has to "self" clean. You sound as if your going through those symptoms now.

You should get to the doctor immediately, and talk with him. IF you have had sex, make sure he knows that. (you didn't say one way or the other, I assumed you had). He can check to make sure the fetus is comepletely removed from your system. IF not, you could go in to TSS.

Toxic Shock Sydrom. (same disease that Tampons cause) it's from having Foriegn objects invading your system from down there.

Hope this helps

I went through a time where I got heavy bleeding and cramps so bad that I too was clotting. I wasn't pregnant (not possible DH had a vasectomy).. and I think it was just a hormonal change. The Dr put me on prometrium (a natural progesterone) for 3 months on days 15-25 of my cycle.. it stopped the cramping and clotting right away.. and it helped put my periods back on track. It even helped my PMS.. I breezed thru periods for about 6 months (then PMS came back). But I suggest you talk to your Dr about it and maybe he can switch your pill or try you on some progesterone.

Good LUck,

Gin :)
