ovarean cysts and infertility

Can anyone give me some advice? I've got three cysts on one ovary, 7cm, 3cm and 3cm in size. I've been told that I won't get pregnant because the sperm can't squeeze past them. I'm desperate to get pregnant because my partner has just had his vasectomy reversed and we need to get a move on. I think that I'm going to be told to wait around for them to go away. This doesn't sound like an exact science to me, we could be waiting years if others decide to grow as well. I'm told that going on the pill would get rid of them. This defeats the object of wanting them gone in the first place! I'm 34 and I don't want to be having problems until its too late! Can anyone give me some advice? I'm new to this website and can't find my way round it to find a response, my e mail address is joekeith@eurobell.co.uk. Many thanks if you can help!

I'm sorry you're having trouble in your TTC journey! A cyst could impede ovulation from that ovary. I don't believe it has anything to do with the sperm not being able to squeeze past them. Rather, the egg may not be able to get to the fallopian tube to meet the sperm. Are the three cysts just on one ovary? If that's the case, an egg may be released from the other ovary.
Did your doctor say what type of cysts they are? Simple(functional) or complex? Simple cysts are fairly common and usually go away on their own within a few months. The birth control pill may help, though I developed a cyst while taking them. Complex cysts can be filled with blood and may need to be removed through surgery.
Did your doctor talk to you at all about removing them? 7cm sounds pretty large to me.
Just my opinions here. Your doctor should be able to help you out more in deciding what your next step is.
Good luck to you!
