Vaginal Fissures

I am new to this board although i often post on the Birth Control board. I have posted a similar post as the one i am about to write, but i thought i'd get your opinion too.

Every now and then i get these little cuts around inner labia and sometimes outside my inner labia when i sleep with a wedgie... The ones where i get a wedgie can sometimes get deep and burn and itch like crazy. Also i tend to get them where my labia meets in the front down that crease. Just in general what are vaginal fissures cause from? Some are small and last a day or two, but these have lasted almost a week and hurt! I've been tested for herpes when i had EBV and we ruled that out, and i've been monogomous with my bf who was my first and i was his. So we can rule out STDs unless there is something i don't know about...lol anyways. What can i use to help the pain? and what could it be caused from? I thought up maybe it might be my bcp because it only started happening when i started Estrostep, and i went off of it for a while (and onto anotherbrand) and didn't really see anything and now that i am back on i am tortured... Can someone please help me! I know i need to go to the gyno but i am extremely busy, and really don't have the time to go. At least on their hours :) It wouldn't be so bad if they'd heal quickly... But i think i've been over cleaning and exposing the cuts to much and need to stop, but i can't take it anymore.

Sorry to go on and on, but i could use some help and would greatly appreciate anyones help!

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I have the same exact problem that you are having, the vaginal fissures. Although mine have started recently, I haven't always had them while taking bcp. They hurt! I was wondering what you did for them and if it helped?

thanks and good luck! SEL

I am experiencing the same painful, itchy fissures and wonder if it has to do with the kinds of soaps used in washing clothes or washing in the shower. I am outside my home country (away from my gyno) and would like to know some form of solution for this embarrassing and uncomfortable itchiness. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
