My boyfriend and I have been together since Feb. He told me he has never had any type of std. We've known each other for 10 years, and I believe him. About three weeks ago I was put on a very heavy dose of antibiotics (3 amoxycilin twice per day - so 6 pills a day!) for a sinus infection. As usual when I am on antibiotics, I started to get what I thought was a yeast infection - usually I either get a case of vaginosis or a yeast infection when I am on antibiotics. This did not progress into a yeast infection but I was just incredibly itchy in my entire vaginal, labia area. I took the antibiotics for about 11 days and then just went off of them because I was sick of the vaginal issues I was having. But, my sinus infection wasn't cured. The vaginal itching went away once I went off the antibiotics, but I decided to go back on them drugs and finish off the prescription to clear up the sinus infection. So, I did that and as soon as I went back on them, the itching, burning came back. I used some of that vaginal cream that is supposed to relieve the itching and burning but I wonder if I may have used way too much of it (I kept putting it on like up to 5 times per day) because the outside skin area of the labia turned bright red and very rough as if it were severely burned. Then, the outside and inside were burning and sore. I think I have two sextremely burning and painful areas of the inner labia and now the outside area that was "burned" is totally crusting over. I mean the ENTIRE area is all crusty. So, it has been a week since this itching, burning started to now in which I now have this crusting over on the outside. I don't have any back pain, abdominal pain, flu symptoms, headaches, etc. I have been off the antibiotics for about a week now also. If there isn't any real relief by Friday of this week I will go into my doctor. The other thing I am wondering is that I tried on a bunch of jeans about three weeks ago the same time I was starting the antibiotics. I was only wearing a pair of thong underwear and I am wondering if I could have caught something from the jeans??????????

Oh, girl, that sound terribly painful!
But please call the Dr.. get it under control.. in the meantime air it out.. use a blow dryer to keep dry and don't wear panties when you don't need to.
