tampon difficulty

Hi everyone. I have a question regarding something that has been happening during my period for about the past year. Everything will start out normal, tampons will go in fine- and then on about the 4th day of my cycle, when I try and put in a tampon, it feels like there is something in the way. About half way up, something blocks it, and I have to angle to the side a little, and around, to get past the obstuction. Also, at around the same time during my period, I get a dull pain in my abdomen. Not really a stomach ache, but more like a real, physical pain, if that makes sense. I'm not sure if the two are related. Both symptoms go away after a day or so, and everything goes back to normal. Does anyone know what this might be? Thank you!

Hmmm...The only thing I can think of that would possibly be obstructing the tampon would be your cervix.

Hi there.. I have had the same thing happen.. Its like you have to angle it to the extreme side... the only thing I can think of is that something swells up or moves during our period. It would be a good question for the Dr, cuz I've wondered it too.. but I think its pretty normal. THe pain I'm not sure about.... I don't get that... Might want to inquire the Dr on that one too.

Not sure I helped
