Stinky down there, help!

Lately my boyfriends been complaining that I'm really stinky down below. I shower once or twice a day and clean well down there. Is it because I'm cleaning too well? I know it's not a yeast infection because I don't have any discharge and I don't itch at all. He also said that I taste bitter down there too. What do I do? I've tried sprays and powders and nothing helps. I don't really notice the smell at all, but he's got a strong sense of smell, so it doesn't help. I'm seeing my gyno next week. I'm just really embarassed and don't know why it's like this!

I really don't think that that's what I have. I have absolutely none of those symptoms and even though is says you can have it without those symptoms, I have a feeling that's not what it is. It really isn't a fishy smell or yeasty at all. I don't think it's from my boyfriend either. I've been with him for almost 2 years now and he's the only person I've ever been with. I'm switching to cotton underwear for awhile and I'm going to see if that helps at all. I have a week until I find out for sure. I'm also going to pick up some ph balanced non soap stuff and see if that helps.

I'm very curious what came out of your appointment with your gyno. I have the very same problem and I've treated BV and yeast infections which were caused by the antibiotic. I have only the odor symptom remaining and I can't get any answers from my docs.

Thanks

HA! I have had this prob. for years and like you have been tested and medicated for both BV and yeast. The bottom line is the dr.s dont know why there is a fishy smell. For One and all to understand, JUST because you have a "fishy" smell obviously does NOT mean one has an infection! Both XENAGIRL and myself are proof to that. I am fed up with the smell and completely frustrated that there are no clear answers to solve the problem.

hi megarina84!

i have the same problem, what i recently tried as a solution for oral sex embarassment really worked, you should try it too in case your gyno is not able to help:

i bought a strawberry flavored(edible)lubricant that works wonders, not only does it feel good on contact(makes me shiver), it smells and tastes really good!

these can be found at any sex shop, but try them out before you buy because a lot of them taste funny on the skin or just like plain bubble gum. the one i bought is kind of oily/slimy but is actually a gel... really interesting texture. i left it at my boyfriend's house, i will make sure to get the name so you can try it.

besides working wonders, it smells so lusty, it absolutly masks the odour, and tastes good, it is excellent! these things are sometimes referred to as body paint.

try them out and see how you do!

good luck, let us know
