leaking tampons

I've been using tampons for over 15 years, and have always had problems with them leaking, even if they're not totally saturated. A friend said I must be doing something wrong, but I don't think so--I know when the fit is bad and if it hasn't been inserted far enough. I use ob and I've tried Tampax in the past. Could it just be my body, or is it the brand? Sometimes when I take the tampon out it looks like there's some blood at the top, and at the bottom (where the string is), but a lot of what's in between hasn't absorbed much blood. I would ask my gynecologist, but I'm not due to see him for a few months. Any input would be appreciated!

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Just to let you know, I have a similar problem. I have tried ob and tampax. I think that tampax leaks more, but both of them have a side that is not bloody when I take them out. I am thinking its the way my body is shaped, that something happens to put the tampon in an odd position when I insert it.
