Hi.

First of all, if the doctor said you dont have hiv, than you shouldnt stress over it. Forget it, and stop thinking about it. It is not so good to put so much stress in your mind and thinking about the things that arent there. About the anxiety disorder - I agree that most of us have some. I am terrified of dieing too! I cant stand to touch people on the subway because i think they all have germs. I cant stand to walk into a room where there are unknown people, and I have to make the small talk. I am very scared of doctors, and anything that happens to me - right now I have a problem in my stomach, and every night I think I am going to die.... But I won't. I dont even know how to help you, but I think that if you see that we all are scared and afraid of something, it is not that unusual.

I hope you can look at life in a little more positive way, because not everything is black and white, and if you think more about all the nice things that you have in life, like your family and your boyfriend, that is what should be more on your mind than all the worries you have. It realy is a waste of time. I know it must be hard, but I am guessing you are 18, and you are so young, and you have all this life ahead of you.Dont waste it on being scared, and of being scared of dieing. We will all die one day. And it is scary to think about it in our youth. But all this things are a part of life, living and experiencing things...

Think positive, carry the antibacterial little bottle to wash your hands with, no need to use bleach, ( you can find it in any drug store) ... And instead of focusing your energy into worriing, focus on something else, like a hobby that will keep you occupied, or something that you love to do... And try to make your self think good, and try to work through it....

Hope it helps a little bit.

Calm down. You are overreacting.

Take time to think about why you are so worried?

Realize you could be spending your time being concerned with more important things that are going on in your life. These types of problems seem to be cured only by yourself. Nobody can tell you, "You're fine..." and you be okay with it. Really think about how much you are hurting yourself and those around you by preoccupying yourself with these ideas and I am guessing OCD's.

Good luck, I am sure you can handle it.

Hi hon....first thing, take a breath! It's okay!

I've had problems with anxiety too--it was at its worst between 18 and 22. It's not just you, and you're not crazy, you're just cranking out too many of the wrong hormones.

I found that when I learned to control my blood sugar, about 80% of the anxiety went away. I have been diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia, and among many other things, it was causing my anxiety and mood disorders. I was further helped by quitting smoking, cutting way back on alcohol, and moderating my caffeine intake.

Additionally, you can train yourself over time to head of your attacks by recognizing that that is what's going on when it is happening. At first, it won't help you at all, but eventually you will be able to at least put it aside enough that you do have to act on your anxiety. You might still feel antsy, but you can live with it.

I'm mostly okay now. I still have an issue with escalators, and I still get panicked sometimes when I'm driving, but I can ignore it. You can work through this! Talk to your GP about whether there are lifestyle changes or medications that can help you to resolve your anxiety.

Good luck!
