I have had this problem for as long as I can remember so please help if you can. I am 19 I am a virgin and I have an odour down there. I have had this for ages and even though I have a bath twice a day the problem still exists. The discharge does not smell it is not clumpy I have no itching or redness. Nothing is wrong other than the smell. It is the outside of my vagina that smells not the inside or the discharge. I have no idea what to do it is such an awful problem you cannot smell it unless you touch it and then smell your fingers but the smell isn't exactly nice it's a kind of fish type smell but not really fishy. Please help me I don't know what to do, I'm too shy to see a doctor.

Douching really isn't healthy. You have two types of bacteria in your vagina, the good kind, which keeps you from getting infections, and then sometimes the bad, which is what you get infections from. If you douche, you are flushing out all the bacteria, which can allow the bad bacteria to take over. So I personally recommend that you don't douche. There is plenty of research out there that backs this, and many doctors agree.
As you are a virgin, my guess is that this is just normal female discharge. And you may think it smells funny, but I'm betting it smells normal, like it's supposed to. I'm guessing that you are just nervous about it, and you think it smells more than it should. Are you able to smell it thru your clothes, or do you only notice it when you touch yourself, and then smell your fingers. If you can smell it while in your clothes, then it's too strong. But if it's only when you touch yourself, I'm guessing it's truly normal, and you are just afraid that you smell worse than you should.
Don't use deodarant sprays made for that area, not healty either.
Do you where cotton panties? Much healthier for that area, as it helps your skin to breathe. Also, tight fitting pants can constrict oxygen flow to that area too, keeping it damp, and then sometimes increasing the smell.
Try to practice good vaginal health techniques. This may help.
