Hello all I've been wondering what is going on with why sex hurts during my period & when I ovulate? It has just started over this past 6 months and hasn't happened before unless I've had partners that were seriously over endowed. My DH is not like this but he has a nice package that does the right stuff but it just hurts badly when we have sex during my period & when I ovulate. I do have 2 kids a ds (6) & a daughter (almost 2) and this has never happened as a "healing process after birth" so I'm just not understanding why it would start to happen now. I don't have the $$$$$ or the insurance to go see a dr. and was just looking at different channels & boards on iVillage to see if there was anyone out there that could help!!!!! Has this happened to any of you? Any thoughts, advice, suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!!!!

When having intercourse with my DH during ovulation or my period it is on the inside. It feels like someone shot a bullet inside me and I feel like I want to explode!!!! It just hurts so much like he is pushing against something and it might be my cervix but I know he can't be all the way in because of my positioning (and we have tried many different positions with the same outcome of pain) and I just don't know what to do. It gets to the point where I have to stop and I feel so bad because he is left unsatisfied and I can't even get over the pain to satisfy him in other ways.

I used to have pain as well, during sex, but it was all of the time, not just during ovulation or period.

Hi there

I am not a doctor but it sounds like endometriosis to me as well.

As a sufferer myself, I can tell you that the pain is always worse around ovulation and period time, because the spots on the outside of your uterus are also bleeding.

You do need to make an app with a gynie, more importantly an endo specialist. Normal gynies dont always know all about this dibilitating disease and can quite often give you incorrect information or be totally unhelpful.

It sounds like you are only in the beginning stages tho, so if you can get diagnosed now, you might not end up with pain all the time.

Good luck.
