Uncomfortable during intercourse!

Okay ladies, I am hoping you can help. I have always had a very difficult time having an orgasm during intercourse. I know that's not uncommon but also many positions for me are very uncomfortable and I am wondering if it's related somehow. It's just painful. It just depends what we're doing but most of the time it just feels like alot of pressure and finally it gets to me and I have to tell him to stop and change positions. Is there anyone out there who experiences that pressure I am talking about? I have been into the ob/gyn and they have never said anything looked wrong but last time I went they said my ligaments to my uterus were really tight? He said sometimes that's a symptom of endometriosis. But the painful intercourse is the only symptom I have. I don't have painful periods at all, in fact I can hardly feel them and they are very light. I don't have abdominal pain like they describe. Would I know if I had something like that? I always heard endometriosis is very painful. The dr. just said if I had more symptoms to let him know. But didn't seem too concerned. I could have maybe just been nervous because it was a new dr too???? But I didn't know if I should get this checked out or if it's normal depending on different anatomy setups among women if this is normal to have discomfort in certain positions? Any help or advice would be great!!! Thanks~

Have you had this pain for most of your sexual life? Or has it just started to happen? If you always had it, then it's probably nothing to worry about. It maybe just be the way your are built. I'm like that. I know what you're talking about. I think I just have a short vaginal canal. Some positions just aren't possible without pain.

But, if it's a recent occurrence, then it should be checked out. Endo is usually more painful so I'm not sure if it's that or something else.

I also experience pain during intercourse. Not all the time, just certain times of the month. I'm noticing it happens about a week to 10 days after the first day of my last period. It seems to have been happening in the last few months or so. My dr. thinks I had a cyst on my right ovary(left one is gone) last month. Do you think the pain is associated with ovulation or at least the few days b4 O? I know we develop cysts every month prior to ovulation but maybe my cysts are larger than normal and not going away completely? It's so frustrating cause we're ttc right now but how are you supposed to conceive if you have pain during intercourse!? (I know this sounds bad but sometimes I just bear thru it, for ttc sake, when normally I'd make him stop!) =(

I guess I never really paid attention to what time of the month it is. But it seems to be most of the time. And it's not a burning pain it's more, just alot of pressure. I have no other symptoms so I have a hard time thinking it's anything serious. I think I might just have a short vaginal canal. When I tried Nuvaring, it always slipped out. It's just a little annoying and it's impossible to have an orgasm when it's so dang painful. I guess it's just annoying more than anything. I bear it for awhile and then I have to say stop. And he's very considerate and says well I dont' want to hurt you but of course we all know what they are really thinking. he he he!!

Mine's also the feeling of pressure more than burning, it's kind of a sharp pain, inside. Sometimes I think it might be IBS symptoms, have you looked into that? I have IBS and it can cause all kinds of weird pains down in that general area. So keep checking it out w/your doctor.

That's funny you mention that because I do have IBS. I wonder if it's connected. hmmm......something to talk to the dr. about. Thanks!
