I am worried. Sorry if TMI

Hi. I am hoping someone can give me some advice on what to ask my Ob/Gyn on Wednesday. I got AF the last week of September, was normal lasted about 5 days. Then I again got AF on Columbus day weekend about 20 days later, much earlier than normal and only lasted for three and a half days. My cycle is usually about 30 days. Well, surprise surprise, AF has shown up again, light spotting this past Saturday, Sunday, and heavier today. Severe cramping today, but not too much blood. Only used two pads, and neither were soaked. I called and made an appointment with doc, earliest they could get me in is Wednesday. I originally thought that maybe I was pregnant because it was almost not there on Sat and Sunday, but I took a test today and it was negative. The bleeding is not much but the cramps are really bad, much worse than normal AF. I am so disturbed by this as it is the second time this year something like this has occurred. In January, I had almost the same exact thing.
What should I be asking the doc? Last time he said not to worry as it happens sometimes from stress, etc. But to happen again this soon? At least it seems soon to me. I am scared that if we try to have children, I won't be able to get pregnant because something is wrong with me.
Thanks for any advice or experiences you could share with me.
Beth

One thing you need to know for yourself is where exactly the pain is--either side in particular? Or in the abdomen in general? If they are very sharp pains and on one side, it could be ovarian cysts. I've had them twice, and though they were very painful, they did go away on their own. If it's in the abdomen, it could be simply a matter of more of the blood in the lining trying to pull away so your body can dispose of it. Also not a big deal even though it hurts like heck.
Is this something that happens to some degree every month or every other month? I was told by a doctor that sometimes one overy can be more painful in the process of releasing an egg as opposed to the other one.
But I do think that the location of the pain, and the duration of the pain are the main things you need to ask your doctor. Don't settle for himming and hawing--make sure you are satisfied with the answers your recieve.

Wish me luck.

I am sending you tons of positive thoughts! But whatever the doctor tells you, don't panic or worry--Our bodies can be very tempermental and we just have to figure out how to work with it. My ovarian cysts were extremely painful and yet they did go away on their own. My sister, on the other hand, had to have hers surgically removed. Everyone is different.
Good luck!
