Birth control and the doctor

Heya, I want to try the Patch. My boyfriend and I have been using condoms and well.. we both hate them alot but still want to be safe of course. My mom knows about it and thinks the patch would be a good idea because I can't swallow pills. I'm wondering how I can get the patch. I know I need it prescribed but will I have to go through a whole check up and undressing and everything? Personally, I am really uncomfortable with the idea of undressing for a doctor and having them poke up me and I was wondering if I can get the birth control prescribed without having to have this happen. I don't mind needles or anything.. but the undressing and all that really bothers me. I don't visit my doctor all that regularly as I haven't really had many problems at all with my health all my life and my parent's never really had us have checkups unless there was a reason. So is there a way to get the birth control prescribed without having to have a full body check up?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me,

You must have a pelvic exam to get a prescription of birth control (whether its pills or the patch). Annual pelvic exams (with a pap smear) are incredibly important!!
One of the most common STDs (75% of the sexually active population has it) cannot be caught without a pap smear... and it leads to cervical cancer. Most young women in their teens and twenties have this virus. It is easily treated at that age, but if a young women never realizes she has it because she does not get annual pap smears, it can turn into cervical cancer. Men do not know they have this virus because it causes no symptoms on them and there is no test for men to see if they have this virus.
If you are comfortable
