A few days ago I started gettting rather itchy down there. I did have a case of diarreah last weekend which caused some itchiness but a a couple of days later, it moved into my vagina. So, Im not sure if I have a yeast infection or not since ive nevr had one before. Im also still a virgin. I dont have any sort of discharge or smell, however, just periods of minor to intense itching. I was on antibiotics last week for a bronchitial infection, could that have brought it on.

My main question however is if there are any natural home remedies I could give a try before seeing a doctor. The symptoms arent very severe yet and would like to give myself some time, but Id like to know if there is anything I can do or take that could help.

Should I eat alot of yogurt? LOL

Eating yogurt helps, ensure it is Yogurt with Live Bacteria Culture as that works best. Also, you may want to try this for relief. Run warm water in your bathtub, just put in a few inches of warm water (up to your vagina if you were to be sitting down) and sprinkle some baking powder in the bottom of the tub. Sit in the warm water for about 10 minutes or so. This can be great for relieving itching or soreness.

I still suggest you see a doctor because getting fecal bacteria into your vagina can cause infection and even lead to urinary tract infections which are very painful.

Take Care :)

Hello,

I always get intense itching about a week before my period starts. Sometimes it is so bad I feel like crying. The ONLY thing that relieves the itch for a decent amount of time is salt. Stand in your shower take a handful of salt and hold it down there as you wash warm water over the area (so the salt gets washed around). Repeat a few times. It may sting a bit but gets rid of the itch completely so you can sleep...
