Chronic Ovarian Cysts and Pain

I have been experiencing chronic large ovarian cycsts for the last 3
1/2 years. I am currently 23 years old. My first large cycst was removed
when I was 16 years old. I have had 3 surgeries to remove my cycsts.
My ob/gyn has tried several different hormonally balanced birth control
pills in hope to control my production of large ovarian cycsts without
sucess. I still have chronic pain and large cycsts. I stopped taking
my birth control because I would have a 3-4 month long period and would
still get cycsts. I had read that birth control hasn't been proven to
stop ovarian cycsts and in some cases might cause ovarian cycsts. I
have been off of birth control for 6 months now and I was recently
diagnosed with another large cycst on my right ovary. I am getting
frustrated because I am having to constantly take pain medication and
my doctors keep saying t wait it out. I don't think that someone should
have to live in chronic pain because of something like ovarian cycsts.
The only reason I can think that my doctors aren't doing anything
anymore is because they tried, but can't figure out why I have chronic
large cycsts. Would it be wrong if I asked my doctor to go in and take
out this recent cycst and "explore" my insides to make sure it isn't
something else? What should I do? I am looking for any opinion/advise
you can give. Thank you for your time.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
