What can I do about cuts?

I just got over a horrible yeast infection. The external effects felt so bad that my skin was totally raw, and I scratched myself too much. I actually have cuts from scratching during the night, and some have healed on their own, but others haven't. It hurts to urinate. What can I do to speed up the healing process? I'm scared that if I have sex that these cuts will reopen, and I do not want that. Is there any cream that I can put on the "wounds" to heal them? I know I probably shouldn't do neosporin, but is there something like that I can use?

Thanks! sel

Ooohhh!! I Feel for you! I know EXACTLY what you are going through! Okay, well there are a few things i have heard to use and my personal experience. Sometimes Neosporin works and sometimes it just does nothing. So you don't got anything to lose. One thing, is to keep the area VERY clean (i would clean a few times a day just to keep things clean) Sometimes that alone works. I have heard of using the cream that comes with an OTC yeast infection kit... Never tried that though... Others have suggested keeping it very dry... while others have suggest baby oil/vasoline to keep it moistened... Just depends on what you think is making it worse. If its worse because its dry go the moistened route... and vice versa. I just recently used Neosprin and that took it away very quickly, granted i used it at first sight... I totally understand about the hurting while urinating, but if you can just keep the cream there and "dab" lack of a better word without moving anything (TMI i know!) that helps... I've been there before, it takes time unfortunately. Very painful and uncomfortable. Try the Neosprin, what do you have to lose? In my opinon nothing. Good luck to you!! Feel better!!!!

Dani,

Thanks for your advice! Well as luck would have it, they went away on their own after many days. Must have had too much moisture that delayed their healing process; once I got over the yeast infection and off the creams, the hurting started to fade rather quickly. All gone! yay I know I feel better, but if I ever have that again, I will definetly use your suggestions. thanks for responding!

Have a great weekend, sel
