Hello,

I am curious about the last 2 months of my period. They have been a bit different then normal. I stopped taking the patch in July. Since then my periods went back to normal and I get them every 28 days, the first 2 days being extremely heavy and the last 2-3 days very very light. Well in October my period was 10 days late and even though it was that late it followed the normal rules of my 28 day cylce. This month however, it followed the 28 days from the last but since has changed and is very very ligh red w. brown discharge. Why has it changed? Does anyone know why this is happening?? Yes I am sexually active and have not used any form of contraceptive since July. I don't think I am pregnant, becuase I normally stop all together completely when I am. I have 1 child but have had a previous miscarriage. Any advice? Thanks

I totally understand. I stopped the patch in may, and did one month on the pill. Have been completely off Birth Control since August. First cycle was fine, but September was 12 days late, and now I am 13 days late. Took two pregnancy tests and both negitive. I have researched the patch, and nothing I can find says that it has this type of effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I find anything out I will post it, and vise versa. My first cycle was really weird, I am usually about a 5 day girl....and this was about 2. I have never had any children, but I have endometriosis. OB says nothing is wrong, just a delay from the birth control that I have been on for over 5 years. I would love to know what is going on.

Every pregnancy is different.

I checked with my OB, and they said that they would just give me a drug to start my period, and I got the feeling that they could not believe that I was complaining that I was not having one. They said that 9 times out of 10 it was stress related. I honestly don't know. I took yet another pregnancy test, and again it came out negitive. They said that it did not warrant an appointment, that we could discuss it at my yearly in Feb. I also checked with my family dr and they said the same thing. How big of a factor is stress when dealing with your period?

When coming off of artificial hormones, it can take several months for your body to get back on track.
