my periods have always been regualr until a few months back. i was a week late and had pregnancy test which was negative and then period started next day.

but since then periods have been really irregular. im now 15 days late and getting stressed. am not nor have i been on the pill. am unlikely to be pregnant, with work am too busy to get to doctors.

just before periods got irregular i passed out for no apparent reason and had all manner of tests in hospital before they gave up and sent me home could this have something to do with it

this is the latest i have been but have had flu so is that likely to effect it?

HELP.

There are a few things that can cause late periods, besides pregnancy!

they said it was exremely low blood sugar but they couldnt work out why it had dropped. they did try to admit into hospital at the time but i have a phobia of doctors and hospitals so i kinda refused to stay :|

Maybe it's due to your thyroid gland. I had a problem with my own gland last year and it caused my periods to just *stop* for 4 months. My doctor put me on Synthroid and now I'm back to normal!

the full history then just if it helps....

3 weeks ago i completely lost my voice then a couple of days later came down with classic flu symptoms, voice came back after a few days. 1st day of me losing my voice was also period arriving day - except it did not.

the next week i was feelign sumwot better and so went back to work (im a teacher and it was modular exam time so i needed to be there toward the end of that week i had terrible earache. went back to the doctor again who said i had a virus and there was nothing he could do.

over the weekend was literally crying with the pain of it. went back to the doctor and was given nice huge doses of codeine

pointed out that i had no period also and was not pregnant he just kinda shrugged and sent me on my way.

i have been to doctors more times in 3 weeks than i normally go in 3 years

feel as tho i have been ill forever

no one needs to say anything to this, i have just now happily ranted away which may make me feel sumwot better

there the end
