Hey everyone!
I usually have between-period bleeding, but this time is considerably different. My cycle is every 40 days. Yesterday (day 27--midway through cycle) I had some HEAVY bleeding (filled up a tampon in 10 minutes) which gradually slowed down. I had no warning sign of this. The bleeding was accompanied by painful cramps. Usually, when I bleed between periods (which docs dismiss as nothing, btw) I have light bleeding with some discharge accompanied by slight cramps, with a warning sign or two such as breast tenderness or pain in the knees. As I said, yesterday was different. Usually, this lasts for a few days. Today when I woke up I have no bleeding at all! I am concerned about this since it is so different than what I experienced in the past. I am 26 and have had a period since I was 12. I am a little iffy about going to the doctor because they have a tendency to not listen to me or dismiss me before I have a chance to explain my concern. One time, I wanted to be tested for STD's (for obvious reasons in today's world) and the doctor LAUGHED at me!!! What is happening?

Welcome!
First off, it sounds like you need to see a different doctor.
