Skipped or late period

I'm not sure what to do here. My period is extremely late for me. Usually I spot for a few days then get a full period—almost like bleeding for two weeks. Well, mid October I got a regular period then two weeks later when I was supposed to spot I get another regular period....then nothing since. That last one went from Oct 30-Nov 3. Now I'm all crampy and have lower back pains like it should start any minute but nothing. I was sexually active a few times during this time but my boyfriend and I were very good about using condoms. I had my annual exam on Nov 5 and everything was normal. My gyno even wrote me a new prescrip for BC pills since my old one ran out about 3 or 4 months ago. I've been waiting to get my period to start taking these pills. I even took an EPT test the other day just to see if I might be pregnant but it came back negative. The only other time in my life I skipped a period was 10 years ago when I did end up being pregnant—that's why I took the test to rule that out.
Should I contact my gyno? I'm 38 and have had somewhat irregular periods but nothing like this. My breasts are not having any tenderness or change in size so that plus the fact that my EPT was negative makes me think I'm not pregnant but these cramps and lower back pain are uncomfortable. I'm having no discharge whatsoever so I don't think it's an STD. I'm baffled. As of today it's been 35 days since I last had any bleeding. Any ideas?

Welcome!
Hmmmm, I'm not sure what to tell you!
I called my doc today and she said to give it another week and if it doesn't come she'd prescribe something to make it start. So we'll see. This was just so bizarre and until I actually start bleeding I'm going to continue to worry a bit.
I'll keep you posted. Thanks!
