Surgery for ovarian tumor

I had surgery to remove a tumor almost 4 weeks ago. The tumor was benign, as far as we know, as no results have come back... to us anyway, from pathology on this, although I am going to call my dr's office to make sure tomorrow. When the dr examined it in the op room he said everything looked good.

Anyway, to give a little history. I am 44 yrs old.

I had been having some problems with pain for a few months, dr ordered an ultrasound,, they found a tumor on my left ovary about the size of a large egg. When the dr went in to do the surgery(he was going to try to do it laproscopic, but the tumor had doubled in size in 2 months so he had to do a bikini cut and remove the ovary and tube also). I have not had a period yet, how soon does your cycle return to normal after something like this?

Also...and I am a bit embarrassed to ask this, but I don't know where else to ask. I was having a dream when I took a nap this afternoon, a sexual dream(it's been a while *L*) and I almost reached orgasm, but I guess in my head I was thinking to myself, I can't have an orgasm yet, not until the dr clears me....and I kind of woke up and stopped it..or so I think. I am not sure now, because since I woke up I am a little sore..like a stabbing kind of pain on my left side down by my incision. Could that be from the dream?

Also how long until you can do anything, I mean like just things around the house? I tried to do some things this past weekend and ended up paying for it later. Just some real light housework. I realize it had only been barely over 3 weeks, but it took so much out of me! How do women have c-sections and take care of a baby? I could never do it! *L* I have to tell you, I admire them!

It can take several weeks to recover from surgery.
