This yeast infection won't go away

I had been taking lots of antibiotics, which

probably made me more likely to get the

infection, and the doctor told me that

sometimes they don't go away after the first

treatment. It didn't.

After the second treatment, (monastat)

I thought it had gone away, but a few

weeks later I got a yeast infection again.

It has been almost 7 days since I last used the

medication and it still hasn't gone away.

If I go to the doctor again, what can they do

except give me more of the same treatment?

Has anyone tried that new pill?

With extended use of antibiotics, it can take a while for the body to get back on track.

what kind of treatment did you do? make sure you do a 7-day treatment - the 1 and 3-day ones are usually not enough to get rid of it all...

Ok first off are you sexualy active, if so your partner could have got it from you and when you have sex he is just giving it right back to you. If you are with someone he needs to be treated to or it will not go away and you will just keep giving it back and forth.

Also maybe it is not a yest infection, maybe it is a bacterial infection. It will have the same smptoms. You need to tell your doctor what is going on and that you need treatment for a bacterial inf. The treatment is the same as a yest inf. it is a vaginal insert cream . It is not a big deal. good luck to you.
