bleeding for 4 weeks+

hi can anyone help i'm 26 and for the last four months or more i started bleeding in between my periods (my periods are normally regular but now i wouldn't no if i was having a period or not) and then it started happening a few hours after me and my husband had sex or if i done strenous excersize, so i went to the docs and the nurse took a swab and they found that i had a general infection (not sexually transmitted). the doc said that my immune system must be low and i explained that my brother died about a year ago,

so i thought that it could be stress off that, so he gave me some antibiotics and nothing changed, so he gave me them again another twice and theres still no change if anything i would say that its worse now and the bleeding hasn't stopped now for 4 weeks+ its like a constant lightish period which sometimes turns brown or black i have to use pads every day 2 or 3 a day.

about two month ago they said that they were going to send me to see a gyne but some how there was a mix up and the hospital never received anything so i went back to the docs on xmas eve they gave me more antibiotics and they said that they would chase the hospital up i haven't taken the antibiotics as i've heard that your not suppose to take them all the time.

can anyone help as i'm getting very stressed out thanx.

Hey hon,

It sounds like all of the stress over your period could be what is causing you to keep bleeding. I had bled for 2 months once and it was all due to stress from moving and separation from my boyfriend. I did get on the birth control patch to regulate my cycles and it helped . I went two months with a regular cycle so now I am without the patch to see if I can have a regular cycle. Evaluate your life and see if you have major stressors going on and keep informing and going to your gyno. Females bodies have a weird way of letting us know we are stressed out, even when we don't think we are. Good luck to you and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Well..it could be stress but I would have my obgyn check out my hormones. I know when I was taking estrogen for perimenopause I spotted everytime dh and I had sex. Maybe yours is high? It is worth the bood work to find out. Good luck.

In addition to what the other posters said, you may want to have an ultrasound done to check for polyps or fibroids.
