Can't control "wetness"

Hi,

I had my son just over two years ago via c-section. Ever since then, I've had ongoing problems with "wetness" down there. It does not happen all the time, is not related to sneezing or coughing (indications of bladder control) but when it happens, it happens A LOT. Like today.... I don't have my period (had it 2 weeks ago) don't have any sort of cold, flu, etc. Basically, I'm totally healthy. However, my underwear is practically soaked! I can't tell if it's a very watery vaginal discharge or if maybe it *is* urine. There is a slight odor to it, but nothing overwhelming, however I HAVE had problems with vaginal odor in the past year or so - this seems to be a totally seperate issue. The liquid is clear, and VERY watery. I wear pantyliners when I have to, but I understand that can cause additional odor problems.

Has anyone ever heard of this type of thing happening? Like I said, it comes & goes, and sometimes there are weeks in between episodes. When it does happen, it can last anywhere from one day to a week.

Thanks for any and all info.

It sounds more like a sign of ovulation. Have you noticed if it comes kind of in the middle of your cycle? As we get ready to ovulate our cervical mucus will become quite heavy and looks like egg white, and for some women can be a real problem, The sensation or wetness or lubrication is a sign of maximum fertility.

As for why it started after your son was born, it may just be a change in your hormone levels. I have noticed significant changes in my own body after each of my three sons births.

Look for a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility at your library. It's agreat book and FULL of information.

Hope this helps.
