Years ago my breasts would hurt a couple days before my period. Now in my 30s they hurt pretty darn bad way before that. What is going on? They are so sore.

Well, this too can be a symptom of ovulation. This is what the **Serena handbook says:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sensitive Breasts
When present, this symptom is noticeable inthe ovulatory phase , especially after ovulation, and may persist throughour the premenstrual phase. The woman experiences it as a vague sensation of heaviness on the breasts. The latter sometimes take on a "grainy", irregular consistancy. This sensitivity is probably due to am imbalance between estrogen and progesterone. When this symptom occurs regularly every cycle. it can provide added confirmation that the rise intemperature is indeed due to ovulation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The amount of discomfort each woman feels is relative. What I a may is really bad you might not be bothered by.

** Serena ia an international family planning organization that teaches people how to use their knowledge of their own cycles to plan or prevent pregnancies. It's called Naturla Family Planning. Some call it Fertility Awareness Method.

Hope this helps.
