My husband and I have only been married about 4 months but are anxious to start a family!!! Due to extreme back problems, I was advised to have children as soon as possible. My question to all of you out there, is how long do you have to off of birth control to safely start trying to concieve??? Someone please help!!!

I think the normal recommended time is three months after you stop the pill. When my hubby and I were going to try and have our first son and we decided to stop the pill I was already four weeks pregnant. (BTW...the pill doesn't work for me, I've had two babies while on it. LOL)

A great tool to help you know prime baby-making time is to chart your cycles. This will let you know when you are more fertile. It's really easy to do too. Ask your Dr about Fetility Awareness Method and he/she should be able to tell you how to do it.

Good luck.
