Shorter/Lighter period
| Tue, 01-13-2004 - 1:49pm |
Hi everyone! For the last 3 months my periods have been "weird". I am 34 and my cycles are very regular, every 29-30 days, and periods last 4 or 5 days. The last 3 however, lasted only 2 or 3 days. They were much lighter than normal. I also have more prominent blue veins in my breasts and the little white bumps (montgomery's tubercles?). Could this maybe be some kind of hormone imbalance or maybe normal? I also get a pain in the area of my left ovary (dull aching pain). I can rule out pregnancy since my DH had a Vas. 4 years ago. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thank you bunches!

Hi Heather!
It's really difficult to say what exactly is going on.
Thanks so much for your advice :O). I just had my pap done in August and the NP didn't say that she felt or saw anything abnormal. I did have a corpus luteum cyst that developed in my last pregnancy (5 yrs ago), and the pain is very similar. It's just odd about the veins and "bumps". Now, about my DH (hehe), he never did go back in for that SA. We have been hoping it WOULD fail, and have regretted getting the surgery in the first place. I had just had my third child and made a terrible (hormonal) decision that I didn't want anymore. I did take a HPT the first month my period was odd, but it was neg.. I didn't use FMU, and have never tested again. I figured I didn't need to since I was having a period and they came at the time they were suppose to, just very light. I have called my gyn. and scheduled an appt. so hopefully i'll know what's going on, if anything. Thanks again. I really appreciate your help!

It may be worth $15 to test again.
Thanks again!
