Hello. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. My cycles are rediculously short, about every 3 weeks, so it seems as if I have my period ALL the time. I was on the pill starting at age 16 do to very irregular cycles, and went off the pill when I was 26 when my huband and I tried to have a baby. Almost a year later I became pregnant, however it was a struggle. The minute I went off the pill to conceive my cycles were very short. Once pregnant I had a hard time sustaining the pregnancy. I bled through the whole first trimester and had to be put on progesterone supplements along with bed rest. My progesterone was very low from the get go, luckily the supplements worked and my son was born healthy. Since having him I did not want to go back on the pill due to the nasty side affects I had dealt with since age 16 (even on the very low doses) I decided on an IUD (copper) instead of the hormones. Now, however, my periods are once again very short. I do not want to go back on the pill and wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this or if anyone knows of any alternatives to get my cycle back on track. I have dealt with problems in this area for as long as I can remember to horrible cramps to ovarian cysts, to very heavy bleeding and now PMS almost every other week (I posted on the PMS board as well) AHH! Im a mess! Thanks for any insight... :)
