Return of Cysts after Stopping BC??

Hi Everyone,

I'm confused... and can't find any good information on the internet, so I'm hoping someone out there might know the answer!!

I'm 29 and just stopped using Birth Control, after 13 years.  (My husband & I want to start trying for children.)  I've only been off the pill for 2 weeks, but for the last week, I've had a very tender feeling across my lower abdomen, and occasional pain in the right side.  Last night, the pain was so bad that I laid in a ball for a few hours, and crawl up the stairs.  Ouch.

I had recurring painful ovarian cysts back when I was 16, which is why I went on the pill in the first place.  So, I'm worried I may be having those episodes again.

Is it possible to for ovarian cyst pain to return after only 2 weeks of being off the pill?  Or is this something common that your body goes through when stopping B.C.??  I'm confused... and now, I'm worried that this will affect my ability to get pregnant.

I know it's not a common case, but maybe someone out there knows something?  I appreciate any help or advice.  Thank you,

Sara

Welcome to the board Sara.

While it takes alot of women awhile to begin ovulating when they start the pill, some begin ovulating right away (I am one so I know LOL).
