Yeast infection or something worse?

hi everyone!
i'll try to make this a quick question! background info: i'm 21 and i'm on alesse, and i've had one yeast infection before (last year, self-diagnosed/over the phone with a nurse, cleared up fine with over the counter product). for the past month and a half or so, i'd been feeling slightly itchy, but nothing too bothersome, and i had one unusually light period. the same slight itch lasted until my next period, which was again unusually light. i normally have medium-heavy flows with lots of cramping and back aches, so this was strange to me, i felt almost nothing. my period ended on sunday/monday and since then what i think is a yeast infection came on full force, lots of itching and redness and some discharge, so i bought some more o.t.c. cream, but it doesn't seem to be working.
ok, so here's my real question: today the discharge changed from white to a pinkish/peach colour, still with a slight cottage cheese look, but more runny, and i'm feeling some stomach pain, not like menstrual cramps, but in the same area, that are like sharp needle pricks that radiate. is this just a really bad yeast infection or could it be something worse? could it be a more serious infection?
my doctor recently retired, but i'm thinking of heading to a walk-in clinic tomorrow if i don't feel any better. any help or advice would be very much appreciated!!
thank you so much!

Welcome to the board Megan.
It sounds like you could possibly have a bacterial infection rather than a yeast infection (or both).
