Anyone that can help to shed some light would be wonderful here! I am going to try and shorten a novel of issues here as one may be related and maybe no. I have had issues with cysts/tumors on my ovaries since the age of 12. I am so used to them now, I tend to only be treated when they are quite bad. I have had several surgeries to remove them over the years, and sometimes go with just a few smaller ones - and a times they grow rather large in size and do cause excess bleeding, cramping, pain and long periods. Last year, the seemed to be giving me issues again along with Fibroids which can cause tenderness but typically nothing else, symptom wise, that would send me to the doctor. I recently suffered three miscarriges in a row after the removal of an IUD. The IUD has been gone for nearly a year now, and a couple of months ago I had the best looking sono since the age of 12 (I am now 30) and was pretty much cyst free for the first time in years. My doctor was prepared to put my IUD back in and we waited for my period...my first "regular" period since the loss of the pregnancies (I decided to give my body time to heal and adjust etc.) It began Friday evening 1/25 and was rather normal lasting until about Wednesday. I was at the office on Monday where she unable to dialate me and planned to return the following month. Friday 2/1 I experienced minor spotting that I assumed was just something that can happen occasionally and nothing at all like the bleeding I've experienced relating to my issues with cysts (much heavier, much more frequent, etc.) Saturday it was more of the same. By Monday morning the bleeding became far more intense and is extreamly heavy (more than a pad per hour) I am not sure if these additional symptoms are related or not - however, I have pain in my lower left side, that led me to believe perhaps I just needed to...ahem...go to the bathroom. That also is not the case - the pain does get worse with eating, and there is a constant feeling of fullness. The bleeding has not lightened at all as of today, it's very red, containing some clots, and very very heavy. There has also been a tingling and numbing sensation in my lips, and hands - something that could be unrelated but I mention because it seemed to have started along the same time, as the bleeding. Vertigo upon standing is also present, along with pain in my arm and chest.
Any ideas about what this irregular bleeding can mean? I am due to go back into the office today and hope she can help but I seem to be an odd case...any thoughts?
